Thanks for following as my kids would say "the guy with THE most boring job in the world!" Many of you have been my clients for over 10 years now. You've seen the kids grow from toddlers to teenagers. You may remember the small office with the dark paneling, never enough light and a single file cabinet. Armed only with a laptop, a 4 page per minute printer and a recently issued license to practice from the IRS I crept into the world of self-employment with 1 bookkeeping client and 13 tax clients. 10 years later, I had to put clients on extension because they waited too long to schedule their tax appointment.
My goal is to be able to use this blog to provide year-round tax advice and tax developments when Twitter and Facebook won't allow enough space for me to comment. I'll try to keep it funny when it's appropriate but there are some things that aren't pleasant to read (think audits or the IRS knocking on your door).
Please feel free to comment. The blog is moderated so I reserve the right to review comments before they post. It should go without saying (but I'll say it anyway) that you should not post any personal information such as your SSN or DOB in the comments.
Dave
